An Engineering Leader (Manager or Senior Manager) is required for a tech-for-good platform making a genuinely ethical societal impact, bridging the digital finance gap in emerging economies. The founders of the business have also been responsible for multiple successful start-ups including the fastest growing NGO globally.
Their platform enables immigrant communities to direct money to their families in their country of birth rapidly and without excess fees or hidden costs – a vitally crucial service and one of the first of its kind. Their principal cultural value is “impact first” – they will only pursue products and strategies that serve the communities they hope to help, even at the expense of more lucrative avenues.
They’ve just closed a $60m Series B funding round which has given them the opportunity to dramatically scale their Engineering capability.
You'd be leading their expansion team, which is critical to their growth and would ultimately allow them to move into new territories and integrate their application with local financial providers, giving further access and opportunities for migrant workers to send money back to their communities.
In the role there is going to be a split between dealing with stakeholders, both internal and external, solving high level technical problems that are integral to the growth of the business. You'll and also be line managing a team of 5-6 engineers, with remit to grow the team from day one.
